גּוּבְתָאf. (cmp. גֵּב) little reservoir, whence tube, channel. Targ. II Esth. 1:3 ג׳ דכוחלא the tube containing the eye-paint; Ber.18b גּוּבְתָאִי דכ׳ my tube Sabb.90b רמי ליה בג׳ דנחשא one puts it into a bronze tube. Ib. 146b ג׳ to insert a tube into the barrel. Ḥull.58b ההיא ג׳וכ׳ a channel was discovered forming the passage from the second stomach Yeb.75b ג׳ דשכבת זרע the channel for the effusion of semen.
